Amadeus Qatar W.L.L. is a joint venture company between Amadeus I.T. Group S.A., Madrid, Spain and Qatar Airways, Doha, Qatar. Qatar Airways holds 60% of the shares and Amadeus I.T. Group holds the rest 40%. Amadeus Qatar is a Commercial Organisation (ACO) serving the Travel Industry in Qatar.

Amadeus Qatar was officially opened on 7 May 2001 in Doha, Qatar by Mr Akbar Al-Baker, Chief Executive of Qatar Airways (the airline that is the Amadeus' partner in the ACO), Ms Julia Sattel, VP Markets EMEA & LA of Amadeus I.T. Group SA and Mr Abdul W. Teffaha, Secretary General of the Arab Airline Carrier Organisation (AACO).

From its inception, Amadeus Qatar set about establishing a permanent and growing presence in the market and it has made excellent progress in attracting travel agency interest and gaining new business. Amadeus market share been on the move from 2% to 74% in the last 4 years, and its expected to gain more percentage points in the next couple of years.
